I believe our initial reaction to the world around us is accomplished visually. Everything around us invokes some sort of emotional response on varying levels. Whether we realize it or not, everything we see affects us in an immediate and permanent way. Images can inspire joy, sadness, anger, and love. The very thought of being able to capture a moment in time and share it with others in hopes of inspiring a similar emotional response is what draws me to photography. It is what inspires the creative energy within me. It is part of what drives me to understand others. It is part of what stimulates my desire to see the world through their eyes, and share mine.
